Dana Foil Adhesive 298 Foil Adhesive 298 is a water-based dispersion adhesive, specially developed for bonding and sealing joints between building components and vapour barrier foils. The adhesive has been tested according to EN 1026 (airtight up to 600 Pa) after wind load according to EN 12211 (alternating tension and pressure of 1000 Pa, and stepwise pressure up to 2000 Pa), and is part of the overall construction to ensure the airtightness of buildings, and thus the energy requirements in the building regulations. The foil adhesive ensures a quick and tight bonding of foil and building materials such as stone, wood, plaster, concrete. Foil Adhesive 298 is easy to apply, odorless and contains neither organic solvents, isocyanates nor silicone. The adhesive must not be used for moisture protection in wet areas, on marble/natural stone, on bituminous materials and in joints with constant moisture exposure (e.g. underground, foundations, etc.).
