ASSA ABLOY EL580 is suitable for emergency exit doors, as the internal door handle always activates the trap. The auxiliary latch on the lock box blocks the door handle latch in the closed position. The locks can be controlled by various types of electronic impulse equipment such as card readers, code locks, timers and push buttons.

Drop lock with interlock and split door handle drop tube. The lock is predominantly controlled electrically, so that it locks automatically after using the cylinder or twist, if there is no impulse or constant signal indicating that it must be unlocked. When the door is closed, the auxiliary latch blocks the door handle latch in the latched position. With the electromagnetic locking function, the unlocking can e.g. controlled by access control systems, on/off clocks, fire alarm systems, etc. The EL580 can be set to either forward or reverse function. The external handle is electronically controlled. The inside handle always opens the lock. With clockwise operation, the external handle opens when power is on, and thus does not work when the power is interrupted. In reverse operation, the outside handle does NOT open when the power is on, but when the power is cut off the door handle works. The lock can always be opened with a key/turner or inside door handle. Potential-free output for indication of interlocking. Split grip stem 50/57mm included Pinol screw for attachment to grip stem item no. 951313 for Ruko-line handle 19mm.
